Martindale-Hubble AV-Rating
Jerrold Parker, along with the firm of Parker Waichman, LLP, has been given an AV-Rating (the highest rating possible) from the respected legal guide Martindale-Hubble in recognition of Mr. Parker’s highly regarded legal skills and professional ethics. An AV rating is a significant accomplishment and indicates that a lawyer is ranked by peers at the highest level of professional excellence. Generally, a law firm is given the ranking of its highest rated partner.
Martindale-Hubble Ratings are the result of a peer review system that has evolved for over a century. Ratings speak to a lawyer’s professional and legal ability and ethics. They reflect the opinions of members of the Bar and Judiciary. In large metropolitan areas, a lawyer usually must have been admitted to the bar for a minimum of 10 years before he or she qualifies for a Martindale-Hubble rating.
The Martindale-Hubble rating consists of two parts. The first is the Legal Ability Rating which takes into consideration the standard of professional ability in the area where the lawyer practices, the lawyer’s expertise and other professional qualifications. A lawyer's Legal Ability is rated on the following scale:
- C – Good to High
- B – High to Very High
- A – Very High to Preeminent
The second part of the Martindale-Hubble rating is the General Ethical Standards Rating. This rating indicates a lawyer’s adherences to professional standards of conduct and ethics, reliability and diligence. There is only one General Ethical Standards Rating, which is V –Very High.
Parker Waichman, LLP is proud of its AV-Rating, and is committed to providing its clients with the highest level of service and expertise required to maintain such preeminent standing in the legal community.
